Ingredients

  • 6 hard-boiled large eggs, peeled and cut in half lengthwise
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1-1/2 tablespoons oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chopped celery ribs and leaves, plus more for garnish
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon Louisiana-style hot sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon vodka, optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Line the egg white halves on a platter. Place the egg yolks, mayonnaise, sun-dried tomatoes, horseradish, Worcestershire, celery, Dijon, celery seed, hot sauce and vodka (if using it) in a food processor. Blend the filling until it's smooth, scraping the sides of the bowl as needed. Season it to taste with salt and pepper.
  2. Fill each egg white half with the yolk mixture. Top the eggs with chopped celery and celery leaves for garnish and, if desired, additional hot sauce Editor's Tip: You can spoon the filling into the eggs, or use a piping bag with a large star tip for an elegant touch.
