Ingredients
- 1 cup large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup vodka
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 package (.32 ounce) vanilla sugar (Dr. Oetker's brand)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Whipped cream or cinnamon, for serving
Method
- Beat the eggs then strain them through a fine-mesh sieve into a large, microwave-safe bowl. Whisk in the remaining ingredients, the sugar, vodka, vanilla sugar, water and vanilla extract, until the mixture is completely smooth.
- Microwave the advocaat mixture for one minute, then whisk it generously. Repeat these steps until the advocaat is thickened but not set (about three to four more minutes). Allow the advocaat to cool to room temperature.
- Serve the advocaat in wide glasses or shot glasses, topped with whipped cream and cinnamon.
